The induction ceremony for Vahid Mahmoudi, the newly appointed head of the Civil Servants Pension Fund, took place with the attendance of Ahmad Meidari, the Minister of Cooperation, Labor, and Social Welfare.
Vahid Mahmoudi, born
in 1964 in Mamasani, Fars Province of Iran, holds a doctorate in economics from
the University of Essex in England.
His academic
background is strong due to his leadership of the Department of Markets and
Financial Institutions at the University of Tehran.
He was a visiting
professor at the University of California, USA from 2009 to 2010.
Mahmoudi has authored
and translated numerous books on poverty, inequality, justice, and economic
development.
He possesses extensive
experience in the economic sector, including his role as Chairman of the Board
of Directors for "Management and Development of Sam Energy," a
specialized holding within the National Development Fund of Iran.
He served as a Senior
Advisor for Investment Affairs at the National Development Fund and was the CEO
of Parsian Oil and Gas Holding.
He has been on the
Board of Directors of the Iran Energy Exchange and the Petrochemical Employers
Association of Iran.
